How to Merge Parent/Teacher Accounts
If a user has created a parent account and needs to merge them with their admin/teacher account they can fix this in their User Settings. Users can combine the two accounts themselves if they have both an email login plus a parent phone login. Here are the steps:
- The user goes into the main BrightArrow page however they normally do. This may be from logging in via the main BrightArrow login page or through an embedded link such as the links within PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, or Blackbaud.
- Click the green "hamburger" menu on the top left
- Select User Settings
- This will bring you to the User Settings page. From here click on the pencil next to Phone to edit the phone number
- Enter the phone number associated with the parent account
- Click OK to save your changes
- Once the phone number is in it should automatically combine your email login with your phone login.
