How to Enable the Various Messaging Types
Depending on your organization's subscription, you may be able to send emails, text messages, and voice calls. If your organization has a subscription for any/all of the various messaging types but general users do not have access them, a system administrator can easily enable each messaging type for any BrightArrow user.
This article details how to enable the messaging types for a specific user. The functionality below is only available to the BrightArrow super admin for your organization. If you do not know who the BrightArrow superadmin is for your organization, please contact our support and we can further assist you.
For example, if a user goes to send a BrightArrow text message but only sees the option to send an email. In the example that a user has only emailing enabled for them, when they go to create a message it may open directly in the email creation page. If they navigate to the Select Message Types option, email would be the only option showing (screenshot below). This article will show you how to enable the text messaging and/or voice call options for them.

How to enable the message types for a user
- Login to the BrightArrow superadmin account
- Click the User Accounts button
- Find the user in your list of User Accounts and click the edit pencil next to their name
- Scroll to the User Permissions section at the bottom of the page
- Mark the checkboxes to enable the various messaging types for the user
- Click OK to save your changes
- When the user goes to create a new message, the message types you selected under User Permissions will now be available to them
