What is the Alternate Filter?

Sometimes schools have a default set of contacts/phones/emails they want to use for normal situations. Some schools have another set of contacts or maybe just different phone/email rules for other situations. The Alternate Filter is there for these schools so that they can continue to take advantage of the filter screens without needing to get updated exports set up or change a plugin every time they need to make a rule change.

Ex: 
Normal use: Any contact that has Lives With or Custody checked, All emails, Non-Work phones only
Emergency use: (Alternate filter) Any contact that has Lives With OR Custody OR Emergency  checked, All Emails, All Phones

Will current selections use the alternate filter?

No

How does the alternate filter information get transferred?

A separate export out of Data Export Manager (DEM) will be set up 1 time. From then on you just need to use the filter screen to make changes.
