Remote Dial-In Option for Third-Parties to Send Phone Calls
Do you have any third-party contractors who may need to send a phone message to a specific list but you don't want to give them access to your contact's information? Do you want to record and send a voice call without having to login to BrightArrow or ParentHub? Using the "Remote Dial In" feature in BrightArrow, you can generate a phone number, code, and password so that anyone you share it with is able to send a voice call to that list.
This option becomes especially useful when you have staff that you don't want to give full access to BrightArrow to, but they may need to send a phone message to a specific list. For example, a vendor needs to call a list of specific staff members when they arrive at your building, or a bus driver needs to call a specific group of parents when their route is delayed. In these cases, you can provide them with the remote dial in phone number and codes and they can record a new voice message that will send to the list.
Some important notes when using this feature:
- When a new call is recorded, it will overwrite the previously saved message in the list.
- Anyone with the phone number, code, and password can send a call to your list. Make sure you are only sharing it with trusted individuals.
Setting up the remote dial-in feature
- Navigate to the List's Settings for the list you would like the third-parties to be able to send a message to
- Click on the Phone Call Settings tab on the left
- Check the box for "Remote Dial-In"
- Phone numbers will generate, along with codes that are specific to the list
- Provide the information shown to anyone who will need to call in to the list to send a message (the message can send as a voice recording only)
- When your contractor calls the phone number, they will be prompted to enter the ID and password, then record their message which will start sending to the list immediately after they confirm their message is how they want it.
