How to CC a Contact That is Not in the List

If you need to send a copy of messages to a specified contact who is not in your BrightArrow list, you can add their email address or phone number to CC them on messages from the list. With the CC Settings set up, the email addresses and phone numbers added in the field will receive a copy of every message that is sent from the list.

For example, if the management team at your organization wants to receive a copy of every message that is sent out but they are not in the BrightArrow list as a contact, they can be added in the CC Settings to receive the messages.

The information below pertains to adding persons to CC only for the specific list. If your organization wants to be CC'd on all messages sent from any list, please contact us so we can set that up for you.

  1. Navigate to the List Settings for the list you need to CC messages for.
  2. Click on CC Settings on the left.
  3. Add the email addresses and/or phone numbers for each person who should receive the copy of the message, comma separated.
  4. Use the double-back arrows in the upper left to save your changes and return to the previous BrightArrow page.

Some details to note:

  • Mail merge fields that contain personal data, like [[fullname]], will not show for the cc'd person(s) since there is no list data for the mail merge field to add.
  • A phone number entered here must be a mobile number in order for the cc'd person(s) to receive text messages.
  • CC'd person(s) will receive a copy of the initial message. They will not receive a copy of any responses.
