BrightChat Logs
If you want to check the history of your BrightChats, you can access the logs easily from the Reports page. This is especially useful if you want to search through large volumes of messages or just check the records of the messages. There is also a helpful right column to show whether the conversations are Active or Closed. It will also show the name, sender, and date.
- You can get to this page by navigating to the Reports page, then selecting BrightChat Logs. From Reports, you can click on the BrightChat Logs button. You can also access this page by clicking on the search button within a BrightChat conversation in the web interface, as mentioned in the BrightChat Features article.
- Senders / members of your organization can view their own BrightChat logs for conversations that they initiated. Administrators will have access to everyone’s logs.
- Administrators can use the "sender" dropdown box to select which sender they would like to view the logs for.
- Click on any BrightChat to see the messages that were sent in that particular chat conversation, organized by the time of the message and the person who sent it. If there are any attachments, there will be a link to download the attachment.
- You may also select BrightChats and export the conversations to CSV files.
- You can close and re-open BrightChats through this interface, just as you would in the app.
- Click on the chat's Status in the far right column (i.e. "Active" or "Closed")
- A new window will appear prompting you to confirm if you would like to close or re-open the chat conversation. Note that private chat conversations cannot be closed. Only group chats can be closed.
