How to Make Changes to a Scheduled Message
If you have already created a message and scheduled it to send at a future date/time but need to make changes to the message or cancel it, this page will detail how to make those adjustments.
Viewing Scheduled Messages
In BrightView, you can see any scheduled messages that are pending. Scheduled messages can be viewed from the BrightArrow Central home screen, or from the My Lists page.
Viewing from the BrightArrow Central Home Screen
From the BrightArrow Central home screen, you will see pending scheduled messages under "Scheduled Jobs". Clicking directly on the scheduled message from this screen will bring you to the Create Message page where you can then edit the message. Clicking the "x" next to the scheduled message will cancel the message.
Viewing from the My Lists Page
Alternatively, you can access your scheduled messages from the My Lists page. Here you will see in the Status and Message Sent columns your pending messages.
You may notice after creating and scheduling a new message that you now have a copy of your original list. BrightArrow creates a temporary copy of your list to save and send the scheduled message from. This temporary copy will delete automatically once the scheduled message sends. This way you can continue to use your original list to create new messages without worrying about overwriting a scheduled message.
Editing or Cancelling Scheduled Messages
Go into the message you need to edit by either clicking on the message from your BrightArrow Central screen or by clicking into the associated list and clicking the 'Edit Message' button. You can now make any changes to your message contents. After making your changes, proceed as usual by clicking the "Next" button. From the send message screen, you will now see the following options which will allow you to make any changes to how/when your message sends.
- Send Message Now sends the message immediately.
- Save Message saves the changes you made to the contents of the scheduled message. The message will send at the previously specified date and time.
- Reschedule Message allows you to change the date/time the message sends.
- Stop Scheduled Message cancels the message so it doesn't send.
- Schedule Additional Time allows you to change the sending date/time of the current message and also allows you to schedule an additional time to send the messages. The "Start Time" will show you the date/time the message is currently scheduled for. You can adjust this by clicking the calendar icon or typing over the date/time. Click the "Schedule Multiple Times" checkbox to add an additional date/time for the message to send. You will be prompted to schedule the additional date/time after clicking "Schedule". Once you've scheduled all the dates/times, click Schedule, then click OK.
- Preview Message allows you to send a preview of the message to yourself.
- Cancel will cancel any changes you made.
