Report Filters: How to Easily Find a Sent Message

Report filters allow you to filter the All Messages page for your message summary reports so you can more easily find a message that was sent. Maybe you have an older message you need to find the report for. Maybe you need to view all messages sent by a particular user or all messages sent to a particular list. Applying a filter to the reports page can help.

*The most recent 7 days of reports will show by default unless a filter is applied. BrightArrow reports are available for up to one year (365 days). If you need to keep reports on file for more than one year, see here or contact us.

*Filters will remain applied until you change them again. If you do not see all the message reports you would expect to see in All Messages, check the Report Filters first.

How to apply a filter

  1. From the BrightArrow Central home screen, click the Reports button.
  2. The Reports page will open in the All Messages tab. Click Report Filters.
  3. The Report Filters window will open. Use the drop-down options to filter your results as needed. Note that some admin users may have more options than other users.
    1. Users: See messages sent by a particular user or user group. BrightArrow admins have this option. Note that if the message sender is part of a group that shares lists, you will be able to filter by messages sent from that entire group. Example: A customer complained about Jane and now you need to review all the messages she sent. Find her name in the Users drop-down and also make sure your Date Range (d) or Most Recent (e) filters are set to include the timeframe you need.
    2. List Names: See messages sent to a particular list. Example: You want to see all messages sent to the HES Attendance list. Choose HES Attendance in the dropdown and also make sure your Date Range (d) or Most Recent (e) filters are set to include the timeframe you need.
    3. Message Names: If you added a Message Name when creating the message, use this option to filter by it's name. Example: If you know the name of the message but don't know when it sent or who sent it, choose the message's name from this drop-down. Also set the most recent # of days to 365 (e) because you don't know when the message sent.
    4. Date Range: If you know when the message was sent, use this option to narrow results to only include messages sent during the particular timeframe. Can be set for up to 1 year ago. Example: You want to see only the messages sent in January, set the date from as 1/1 and the date to as 1/31.
    5. Or, most recent: See messages sent within the most recent [number] of days. Can be set for up to 1 year ago. Example: You want to see all messages sent in the last 2 weeks, set this to 14 days.
