Sending Messages to Multiple Lists
Sometimes you might need to send a message to more than one list, and sometimes those lists are housed in multiple folders. With the "Selected Lists" folder, you can easily select all the lists you want to send a message to so you only have to send the message once rather than re-sending the message to lists from each different folder.
How to select multiple lists
- In BrightView, navigate to the My Lists page.
- Select each list by checking the box next to the list name.
- If you need to send the same message to lists that are located in more than one folder, navigate to each respective folder and check the boxes to select all the lists you need.
- Notice that any lists that you already selected remain selected when you move to the next folder.
- You can select lists from as many of your folders as you need to; there is no limit to the number of lists you can select.
- Once you've selected all the lists you want to message, click on the Selected Lists folder to see your selections.
- Click Select an Action > Create a new message.
- Click OK to start creating your new message.
- Your message will send to all of the lists you selected.





Can I save my selected lists to a folder for future use?
If you leave the My Lists page, your selected lists will be de-selected and removed from the Selected Lists folder. If you think you will be sending a message to all of the lists you selected again in the future, you can easily save your selections in another folder so you don't have to go through the process of selecting them all again next time. Add your lists to an existing personal folder or create a new one using the icons in the Selected Lists section.
Saving the selected lists to a new "favorites" folder
If you want to create a brand-new folder to save the lists to, clicking the 'plain folder' icon will let you create the new folder and save your selected lists to it.
- Click on the "Selected Lists" folder.
- Click on the 'plain folder' icon.
- In the new window that appears, give your new folder a name, then click save.
- Your new folder will appear with a 'starred folder' icon next to its name.
- Notice that your selected lists will remain selected in all applicable folders until you deselect them.



Saving the selected lists to an existing "favorites" folder
If you want to add your selected lists to an existing favorites folder, clicking the '+ folder' icon will let you choose any of your 'favorites' folders and save your selected lists to it.
- Click on the "Selected Lists" folder.
- Click on the '+ folder' icon.
- In the new window that appears, choose your preferred folder from the dropdown list of options, then click save.
- Your lists have now been added to the folder you selected.
- Notice that your selected lists will remain selected in all applicable folders until you deselect them.
