Text Settings

If you want to specify which phones will receive text messages, you can use the list's settings to determine which phone field(s) will be texted for each list. Using this option, you can set up your list to only send text messages to contacts whose phone number is in a certain field. This is especially useful for organizations who use the phone fields in a strategic way, for example, if you always add cell phone numbers as "phone 1" or "phone 2" you can then set your lists to send text messages only to the field your cell phone numbers are contained in.

1. Navigate to the List Settings for the list you want to edit the Text Settings for. 
2. Click on the Text Settings tab on the left. 
3. In the "Phones to text for each contact" field, mark the checkboxes for each phone field that should receive text messages. 
4. Click the double-back arrows in the upper left to save your changes and navigate back to the previous page.
