What do the values at the end of a list name mean?

Some lists will have something appended to the end of the name when viewing from the “My Lists” area. Many times you don’t see these in the list name when you go into list details. The values that may be appended to a list name are:

(sync) Data in this list is synced with an outside source on a scheduled basis. Updates to (sync) lists will be overwritten the next time the sync schedule runs.
(linked) Data in this list comes from another list. When that source list is updated this list will be updated as well. There are 2 types of lists that will produce this - A list created by using the “Copy a List” command will be updated by the source list any time anything is changed in the source. This includes if the source list is synced- A list created using the “Create a Subset List” command will be updated by the source list any time anything is changed in the source that matches the subset criteria entered when the subset list was initially created. A subset list of Grade = 2 will only get updated if the updated record in the source also has a grade = 2.
(superset linked) Similar to (linked) in that any time the source lists are updated this list will be updated too. The difference is this is a list merging data from multiple source lists. In this case only 1 of the source lists needs to change to trigger the update of this list.
[Jones] Information in square brackets at the end of a list name indicate who the list owner. In the example the user Jones is the list owner. Only the master account can see lists in which they are not the owner.
[Multiple] This indicates that there is more than 1 owner of this list.
{Free Portal} This list shows people who have registered to receive notifications. Not common.
