Menu: Select an Action

If you're wondering what all of the "Select an Action" menu options mean, you're in the right place. This article will go over what each option means and what its capabilities are.

If you click the "Select an Action" menu, you'll see these options pop up. We'll define them below for you:

Create a folder: Selecting this action will prompt you to create and name a new folder. You can organize your lists using these folders. You will see it at the top of your My Lists page under "All Folders." See Grouping Lists by Using Folders for more details.

Create a list: Selecting this action prompts you to create and name a new list. See Creating a New Basic List for more details.

Create a new message: First, select a list by clicking on the checkbox next to the list name and then click the "Create a new message" button.  The create a message interface allows you to add, edit, and preview the message intended to be transmitted to the list.  If you want to use the same message for multiple lists, then from the My Lists page, use the select checkboxes to select multiple lists and create a message that is used for the selected lists. See Creating a New Message for more details.

Edit prior message: First, select a list by clicking on the checkbox next to the name and then click Edit prior message. This will bring you to editor of the message that was composed and saved where you can make any changes you need.

Send saved message now: First, select a list using the checkboxes and then select Send saved message now to begin sending out your message to the contacts in the list.  Note: This action item can be used to start sending messages to multiple lists if multiple lists are selected. To prevent accidental starting of multiple lists and to start only one list, it is recommended to click on the list name and use the Send Message Now button from the List Details page.

Stop sending/pending message now: First, select a list in the dialing state using the checkboxes and then select Stop dialing now to stop sending out your message.

Copy a list: Copies a select list. See How to Copy a List for more details.

Create a subset list: Uses filters from a master list to create partial lists based upon criteria such as building code, grade, etc…  See Creating a Subset List by Filtering Criteria for more details. Subset lists can also be created by copying a list and making a permanent selection of individual contacts. See Creating a Subset List by Selecting Individuals for more details.

Create a superset list: Allows you to combine several lists into one large list.  See Creating a Superset List for more details.

Delete a list: Permanently removes a list from the interface.  It is possible to delete multiple lists using this action so be sure you are confirming the list or lists you want to delete before clicking OK. See Deleting Lists for more details.

Add list to favorites: This will add the selected list to your Favorites folder.
