Missing assignment messages

The parent portal is great for keeping parents up to date on what is happening with their students. But not all parents log into the parent portal on a regular basis. You may find that you'd like to send home reminders of assignments that are missing. To get that set up we need some information from you.

What we need to set up missing assignment notifications

  1. District wide or specific schools.
  2. How often do you want to send the reminder? Once a week? Twice a week?
    1. It might be nice to send home reminders on Thursday nights so that students can bring home books or other materials they need to work on it over the weekend
  3. How far back do you want to look for missing assignments?
    1. X number of days such as 42 days back (note this is calendar days, not in session days)
    2. Any assignment for the current semester?
    3. Current Trimester?
    4. Current Quarter?
  4. How should an assignment be considered missing? Let us know if any of the default rules do not apply for your business logic. By default an assignment is considered missing if:
    1. Missing checkbox is checked
    2. Collected checkbox is NOT checked
    3. Exempt checkbox is NOT checked
    4. Incomplete checkbox is NOT checked
    5. Late checkbox is NOT checked
    6. Percent is 0
    7. Letter grade is blank
  5. Who should get the report after messages are sent? Not required, but recommended that the report is automatically emailed to at least 1 person.
